is friendly. We can find several different ways to solve one problem.
In
the financial world, dates are important.
A
series of dates need be created using EXCEL.
For
example, a Series of dates
1/1/2012;
2/1/2012….12/1/2012,1/1/2013, 2/1/2013….12/1/2013.
need to be generated.
There
are lots of the ways to do the job in the Excel.
Method 1; Using fill handle.
In Cell A1,
we type in 1/1/2012. Then, Drag the fill
handle across the adjacent cells that you want to fill. Excel can fill in days,
weekdays, months and years. We use fill in months.
Method
2; Using EDATE( ) function.
In Cell A1,
we type in 1/1/2012. In Cell A2, Formula
=EDATE(A1,1). Then We select cell A2, drag down to auto fill
to cell A24.
Method
3: Using DATE( ), Year( ), Month( ) function.
In Cell A1, we type in 1/1/2012.
In Cell A2, Formula =DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,1).
We select cell A2, drag down to auto fill to cell A24.
